Infantino's Folly: A Billion Dollar Bet on Football's Future? Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, has proposed selling stakes in the organization's events and competitions arm to corporate investors.

The plan would create a commercial subsidiary called FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) valued at $US20 billion ($28. 7 billion), backed by Joshua Kushner, brother of Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump's son in law.

The FFE would grant private buyers control over competitions including the World Cup and Club World Cup, allowing investors to reap the rewards of their investment while Infantino claims that FIFA can focus on promoting football's values.
